ALISON ARMBRUSTER - graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, then went on to earn a B.A. from Stony Brook University, and an M.F.A. in dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.  She grew up on Long Island and studied classical ballet at the Seiskaya Ballet School. As a professional dancer, Alison performed in the European tours of West Side Story, Chicago, and Cabaret, and with contemporary dance companies Freefall and Mad Cap Dance regionally. For 13 years Alison was an adjunct faculty member at Stony Brook University where she taught ballet, contemporary, jazz, and directed and choreographed for the Performance Dance Ensemble. She is currently a senior dance adjunct at Dowling College in Oakdale and has found a home here at L.I.A.D in 2013.
